Before you order
Measure once. Order with confidence.

What you will need
Measure in millimetres and make a simple labelled sketch as you go. Check every figure twice before submitting your measurements.
Finished heights
The deductions we make for you
Enter the finished height requested by the configurator. Do not subtract these allowances yourself.
Standard clearance
All panels are manufactured 10mm shorter than the entered finished height to provide fitting clearance.
Floor-to-ceiling total
We deduct the standard 10mm plus a further 10mm so the panels can be lifted onto the Hook-On system beneath the ceiling.
With panel capping
We deduct the standard 10mm plus a further 25mm where panel capping is selected.
Step by step
Your measuring checklist
Record every wall separately. Two walls that look identical are not always exactly the same size.
Choose the panel run
Decide which walls will be panelled and where the run starts and finishes.
- Single feature wall
- Half-height layout
- Hallway or staircase
- Floor-to-ceiling layout
Measure the width
Measure the intended run in millimetres. Check the width at more than one height to spot walls that are uneven or out of square.
Keep a note of every result rather than guessing.
Record finished height
Measure from the floor or chosen starting point to the finished top of the panelling.
Enter that finished height into the configurator—we apply the correct manufacturing deduction.
Mark every interruption
Add doors, architraves, windows, corners, stair strings, slopes, radiators, sockets, switches and existing mouldings to your sketch.
Measure each feature from a fixed end of the wall.
Check wall and floor
Use a spirit level and look for obvious bows, uneven plaster or changes in floor level.
The supplied packers help when setting the mounting track. A badly bowed wall can sometimes be followed while the track remains level.
Check everything twice
Confirm all figures are in millimetres and that no width and height measurements have been swapped.
Include a full-wall photograph as well as close-ups of awkward details.
Connected walls & openings
Planning a complete room?
Rooms with several connected walls, corners, returns or door openings need more planning than a straightforward feature wall.
Our free full-room design service can turn your measurements into a coordinated layout and provide CAD drawings before manufacture.
